Industry leaders gathered in Brussels to discuss the trends and innovations driving cloud communications
The Cloud Communications Association (CCA) European Summit has earned a solid reputation for bringing together great ideas, speakers, and networking opportunities that result in outstanding outcomes for vendors and businesses alike. The 2025 edition, held a few weeks ago in Brussels, certainly lived up to these lofty expectations. In many respects, it went beyond earlier editions in terms of quality content and deep discussions that could help move the industry forward.
Enreach for Service Providers CEO Bertrand Pourcelot—who serves on the CCA board of directors—both moderated and participated in panel discussions that focused on the business opportunities facing cloud communications providers. In addition, Martin Classen, Chief Product Officer at Enreach, shared his perspective on the growing adoption of AI. He highlighted how vendors can actively support their customers and partners in embracing AI-driven solutions and overcoming potential obstacles.
All-In On AI
Certainly, the emergence of AI technology continues to dominate the conversation. Enreach discussed how its philosophy of empowering channel partners to sell Conversational AI is already gaining traction. Enabling channels to differentiate themselves and remain relevant by leveraging powerful Conversational AI applications through the Enreach DialoX platform is an essential element to the company’s growth. As Classen explained at the Summit, DialoX has the unique ability to “democratise” AI by making it accessible and cost-effective to underserved SMBs who need these capabilities to compete in today’s fast-paced environment.
Data Sovereignty Takes Centre Stage
Another topic that drew attention at the Summit was European data sovereignty, which is the idea that European businesses keep data within EU borders to preserve their integrity and security. The concept is an outgrowth of the current world political climate, where European governments have become particularly wary of businesses moving data to non-EU data centers, where privacy laws and practices can be suspect.
At the Summit, other notable speakers highlighted the geopolitical dimension of data sovereignty. Mehreen Khan, Economics Editor at The Times, and Herman van Rompoy, former President of the European Council, both underscored Europe’s urgent need to assert digital autonomy in the face of shifting global power dynamics. Their perspectives reinforced the importance of retaining control over data, infrastructure, and systems — a goal Enreach actively supports. With European-hosted communications, organisations benefit from secure solutions that align with data sovereignty principles while enabling seamless collaboration across borders.
Enreach for Service Providers highlighted how recent industry consolidation (e.g. Broadsoft, Metaswitch ...) has reduced the number of available options for service providers regarding voice and unified communication platforms. The Enreach UP platform offers service providers flexible hosting options — either in their own carrier data centre or as a PaaS solution — while supporting a partner-friendly model focused on value creation and differentiation.
The Path Going Forward
Enreach already implements the protocols and technology that will be necessary to satisfy the requirement that data generated within the EU remains under EU control. As a company founded and nurtured in Europe, we understand how vital data security and privacy is to our customers. We have the resources and ambition to ensure that all customer data remains fully protected.
The CCA European Summit provided the opportunity to hear from great minds and discuss possibilities with peers. Enreach continues to play a leading role in the vital cloud communications industry, and is poised to address every opportunity as it presents itself.
